Meeting new people in your 30s and 40s is tough. Dating events can feel awkward, and making new friends isn’t always any easier. Board games make both a lot more fun!

Join us for Board Game Speed Dating, a relaxed social night for people looking to make new connections—whether that means finding a date, meeting new friends, or simply seeing where the night takes you.

This event is LGBTQ+ friendly and encouraged. People of all genders and sexual orientations are welcome.

Instead of standing around trying to make small talk, you’ll sit down for a series of quick, easy-to-learn games and rotate through different groups throughout the evening. The games provide a natural icebreaker, give everyone something to talk about, and take some of the pressure out of meeting someone new.

When you arrive, you’ll be able to grab a colored name tag to show who you’re interested in meeting and what kinds of connections you’re open to:

  • Blue: Interested in meeting men
  • Red: Interested in meeting women
  • Green: Interested in meeting anyone
  • Yellow: Looking for friendship

We’ll start with an group-wide game and then split off into smaller game groups. A host will explain the games, guide the rotations, and keep the evening moving. No board game experience is required.

At the end of the night, you’ll have an opportunity to submit, in private, the names of those who you would like to connect with again. You can indicate whether you’re interested in dating or friendship. When two people choose each other, we’ll help make the connection and exchange contact information.

No awkward spotlight. No forced flirting. Just games, conversation, and a room full of people who are also hoping to expand their social circle.

This event is open to adults ages 30–45 of all genders and orientations.

Your ticket includes one free drink.

Advance registration is required. If we do not receive enough registrations, to ensure optimal hobnobbing, by Thursday, July 23, the event may be postponed. Ticket holders may request a refund if the rescheduled date does not work for them.
